There are many American cable shows that Canada doesn’t get, but would love to. Think Burn Notice, Royal Pains and Covert Affairs. Leverage debuted on TNT in the U.S. back in 2008, and is returning for another season in a couple weeks, but the series still hasn’t aired in Canada — until now.

Leverage is a fun little caper series, which follows a group of expert thieves who steal from corrupt businesses and wealthy criminals. Think of a modern-day team of Robin Hoods.

Timothy Hutton plays the group’s leader, Nate Ford, a former suit who lost his son after his insurance company refused to pay for his medical treatment. So Nate fought back and found a way to revive his life by gathering a crew who takes fro m the rich to give to the needy.

Alongside Hutton is snappy thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf), tech wizard Hardison (Aldis Hodge), beefcake Spencer (Christian Kane) and actress/grifter Sophie (Gina Bellman), and the five of them make a likable team. You can’t help but root for them every time.

It’s obvious that Leverage has some big names behind it, and you can’t get any bigger than producer Dean Devlin, whose credits include Independence Day and Godzilla. Sure, Leverage is nothing as loud as those blockbusters, but the series moves quite quickly, giving viewers that movie-like feel. Think Ocean’s Eleven meets The Italian Job.

Yup, it’s that fast. Now see if you can keep up.

Leverage premières on Monday, June 14, 10 p.m. ET., Super Channel.
