I’m a guy. A dude. A fella. And, simply because of this fact, Canada AM is devoting an entire week of programming to myself and my fellow fellows with the aptly-titled “Man Week.” The reason the morning show is doing this is two-fold.

Firstly, with Father’s Day coming up this Sunday, it makes programming sense to do it. Secondly, Canada AM wants to shed some light on the topics that men rarely discuss with their mates, kids or even drinking buddies.

It all starts on Monday morning with guest Michael Landsberg. The Off the Record host isn’t dropping by to talk sports but depression, something that he is a long-time sufferer of, with Seamus O’Regan and Bev Thomson.

On Tuesday it’s all about erectile dysfunction, as Dr. John Aquino pops in to address the feelings of fear and embarrassment that many men feel over this issue. Wednesday is support group day, as a father who organizes such things outlines how men across the country can congregate and help each other out.

On Thursday, a patient named Joe goes through a battery of health tests to illustrate the three most common health risks that men face. Finally, on Friday, NHL hockey hall of famer Mike Bossy – as CTV puts it – “takes a close look” at prostate cancer (how close guys?) and details both the prevention and early detection of the disease.

Canada AM airs Monday-Friday at 6 a.m. ET on CTV.
