TVGuide.ca: Were you surprised the vote was unanimous to evict you?
Matt Hoffman: I wasn't surprised only because I had talked to Ragan about his vote prior to his eviction.
TVG: You didn't seem to be bothered that you were evicted; it looked like you were almost relieved. Were you?
MH: I was mortified that I was evicted. But, when you are in the Big Brother house you learn pretty quickly what will happen. I was prepared for it, my misery had come and gone, and by the time the eviction happened I was pretty much settled.
TVG: How would you have played the game differently?
MH: I would have done nothing differently in the game outside of not abandoning my original strategy to not throw any competitions.
TVG: Why did you deviate from your game plan?
MH: I just got over-confident. I was the biggest mistake. I have no excuses for it. It was my worst decision and it cost me the game.
TVG: Do you feel badly that you lied about your wife being sick? Was it hard to lie in general?
MH: Lying is very hard because I am not a liar at all in my day-to-day life. To me, this was almost like acting. I had fun with it. I had a great time trying to lie. I thought I would be bad at it, but turns out I was pretty good. I'm going to stop now, but we'll see what happens when people find out. I had a great time with it, though.
TVG: Is there anyone you will stay friends with after the show?
MH: If they will stay friends with me ... I would love to stay lifelong friends with Ragan and all of the Brigade members. I think I will stay friends with everyone on some level outside of Kathy and Andrew.
TVG: Do you think that a member of the Brigade deserves to win Big Brother?
MH: No one in the Brigade deserves to win BB except for me. I think they will, but I do not think it is deserved.
TVG: What will you miss most about the house?
MH: The competitions! The competitions are awesome. The friends are great, but I have friends. In the real world, I can't stand on a giant paint can or do any of those fun things.
