It’s seems Jillian Harris – or Canada’s sweetheart, as she’s so often dubbed – just can’t catch a break.
Recently, TVGuide.ca reported the peppy brunette was coping with rumours of infidelity about her fiancé Ed Swiderski. The couple got engaged during The Bachelorette’s July 27 finale.
Now, Us Weekly magazine says some of the guys Harris dated on the show knew Swiderski was being unfaithful. Wes Hayden says, “Dave [Good] and I both remember Ed saying he had a girlfriend … But we are not the kind who are going to run our mouths.”
Of course, Hayden isn’t exactly known for telling the truth either – the aspiring country singer was also accused of being in a relationship while the show filmed.
But, he’s not the only one who doesn’t care for Harris’ main man. Third runner-up Reid Rosenthal claims he “didn’t care to hang out with [Ed]” and Michael Stagliano says “Ed’s a shady character.”
Naturally, this could just be the rumour mill running rampant, but Swiderski did have access to external contact while on The Bachelorette, a luxury most contestants are never allowed.
The men (or in The Bachelor’s case, the ladies) are always required to give up their cell phones and laptops to keep things focused on the show. But due to Swiderski’s job as a Microsoft technology consultant, he was able to utilize both for work purposes.
But, apparently Swiderski was also using these tools to communicate with his alleged girlfriend, Lindsey Johnson.
Unfortunately, whether this is true or false isn’t the real issue at hand; rather, all this gossip is simply going to damper Harris’s happy parade.
