Hulk Hogan (a.k.a. Terry Bollea) is hopping mad at his lawyers. The platinum-haired former wrestler says his attorneys scammed him, reports TMZ.com.
Hulk claims that he paid more than $1 million for legal representation from high-profile firm Zuckerman Spaeder, but that he could have gotten it free.
The still-buff wrestler says his insurance company, Progressive, contacted Zuckerman Spaeder several times after his son Nick was in a car crash, resulting in passenger John Graziano having severe brain damage.
Apparently, Progressive offered to provide an experienced attorney for the family’s civil suit at no cost.
Court papers filed in Pinellas County, Calif., for Hogan’s lawsuit say Zuckerman didn’t tell Hogan about Progressive's offer for 17 months, which made him shell out in "excess of one million dollars" to the firm for legal representation instead.
He also says that when he finally got wind of Progressive’s offer, the company had "terminated the relationship" with him and refused to pay for most of Zuckerman’s massive legal tab.
Hulk is suing for unspecified damages.
