There’s nothing more frustrating than a lame promo touting the return of a show you’re jumping out of your seat to see.
That’s how I feel about the new promo ABC has released for the upcoming final season of Lost, which is set to return sometime in 2010.
The 17-second clip does little more than recycle the plane crash scene we’re all more than familiar with, show Kate (Evangeline Lilly) and Sawyer (Josh Holloway) getting it on in that cage, and a feature a close-up of Jack (Matthew Fox) spouting something about destiny.
Lame.
Maybe it would be too much to ask for a snippet of a new scene or some close-ups of the new faces we’re supposed to be seeing, given that this show is in serious lockdown mode.
But at the very least it would have been nice if the Letter network had given us an actual return date to accompany the show, rather than the tired “2010” promise we’ve been hearing for months now.
Who am I kidding? I’m still just as excited to finally find out what the heck the deal with this island is, lame promo or not.
