Is it wrong that in my head Ian Ziering will always be Steve Sanders? I guess that just goes to show my investment in Beverly Hills, 90210 growing up, but I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Well, the former Beverly Hills star is ready to settle down, according to In Touch magazine, and has proposed to “the love of his life,” Erin Kristine Ludwig.
The pair have only been dating for four months, but apparently that’s enough time for Steve, er, Ian to realize he’s with “the one” after having been previously married. Ziering and his first wife, Nikki Schieler Ziering, divorced in 2002.
The 45-year-old actor, who turns 46 next month, used new media tools to execute the proposal by updating his status on Facebook from “in a relationship” to “engaged,” and now the pair is planning a spring walk down the aisle.
Since his days on 90210, Ziering has managed to shy away from the spotlight for the most part, taking on token guest-star roles and movies of the week while lending his voice to animated programming.
That changed in 2007 when he participated on CTV/ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, lasting 10 rounds with partner Cheryl Burke.
The gig led him to host the 10-part series Your Mama Don’t Dance, a reality game show pairing professional dancers with novice partners that aired in 2008.
