A couple of paparazzi who were trying to snap pictures of Bachelor Jason Mesnick and his new wife Molly Melaney’s wedding aren’t feeling the love.

TMZ says the duo are suing Disney/ABC Television Group, The Bachelor’s production company and the security company on site because they were physically removed from the area.

Eric Brogmus and Maximiliano Lopes are claiming battery, false imprisonment and negligence in the incident, adding that the security company “breached their duty of reasonable conduct by attacking and detaining or authorizing the attack and detention” of both men.

My take? These guys don’t really have a leg to stand on. I watched last night’s The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding, and the two-hour special referenced the above incident several times, showing several photogs (with their faces blurred out) being asked to leave the beachfront area where the ceremony was taking place.

The paparazzi were moving very, very slowly backwards as the security team herded them away, and looked to be mouthing off to the poor shlubs who were just trying to do their jobs so that Mesnick and Melaney’s big day would go off without a hitch.

TV cameras caught a few moments of physical confrontation, when it was clear the still photographers weren’t vacating the area fast enough.

With OK magazine scoring the exclusive rights to the couple’s wedding ceremony and photo album, it’s understandable that everyone involved wanted the paps to get out of Dodge and not leak images out into the world.

As for the happy couple, not even a torrential downpour could ruin the day, as they recited poetry to one another, said their vows and splashed their way to a rousing reception indoors.

The next instalment of The Bachelorette, starring Ali Fedotowsky, returns May 24 on Citytv and ABC.
