Heidi Androl is living proof that driving too slow can be just as detrimental as speeding.
The former Apprentice contestant, who lasted until Week 12 in the reality show’s sixth season before getting fired, has been charged with two counts of misdemeanour DUI, reports TMZ.com.
The 29-year-old was arrested in the early morning hours of Dec. 7, 2009, after being clocked going only 56 km/h on an empty California highway.
Androl was pulled over on the 105 Freeway after a citizen called law enforcement and reported a driver going way below the speed limit.
Apparently, Androl, who hosts the Los Angeles Kings’ special events website, performed “poorly” on several field sobriety tests, hence the DUI charges.
She now faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. She’s due back in court on March 29.
This past weekend, The Apprentice kicked off its ninth season with its third celebrity instalment.
The star-studded show includes a collection of actors, models, singers and athletes, including celebrity chef Curtis Stone, Victoria’s Secret Angel Selita Ebanks, stand-up comedian Sinbad, baseball player Darryl Strawberry and TV personality Sharon Osbourne.
And, as usual, Donald Trump plays judge alongside his children Ivanka and Donald Jr.
The Celebrity Apprentice airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Global/NBC.
