Kelsey Grammer knows a good thing when it happens. The actor is making plans to bring his most famous character, Dr. Frasier Crane, back to TV.

The actor sounded off on Twitter, sharing his idea with his followers and anyone else who happened to be perusing his page.

In a series of posts, he wrote, “Maybe it is time for a Frasier reunion. (It’s) very interesting to say the least ... maybe a Frasier reunion on like a new show seriously thinking about that !!!”

He later added, “I’m now really thinking maybe a spinoff of Frasier? How would u feel about that with like my son and (Frasier’s fictional brother) Niles’ sibling? Cameos by old cast? ... Maybe an updated theme to be centred around social media. Now that would be powerful, include like Twitter ... iPhones etc.”

Grammer hasn’t been able to replicate the success he found on Frasier or Cheers, where Frasier was first introduced. He spent 20 years playing the beloved character before Frasier ended in 2004. Since then, he’s had two flops, including Back to You and last season’s Hank.

Grammer most recently appeared on Broadway playing the role of Georges in a revival of La Cage aux Folles, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. His former Frasier co-stars are also enjoying success; David Hyde Pierce (Niles) is currently appearing in a production of La Bête in London’s West End; Jane Leeves (Daphne) co-stars in Hot in Cleveland; Peri Gilpin (Roz) appears in Make It or Break It; and John Mahoney (Martin) co-starred on In Treatment last season.
