All those years of flips and slams have finally caught up to former wrestler Hulk Hogan. This past weekend, the 57-year-old was taken to a Florida hospital for “excruciating back pain,” according to TMZ.com.
Hogan’s back had been sore for a few days until yesterday, when he simply couldn’t get out of bed. His girlfriend, Jennifer McDaniel, called an ambulance; according to various reports, Hogan is still undergoing tests.
The brawler posted a video from his hospital room ensuring fans that he’s all right, saying that he “hung on as long as I could,” and that his “back is totally spazzing out, time to heal.”
Over the years, Hogan has gone through several surgeries to try and fix his back, and according to colleague Ric Flair, Hogan’s back has been really bad. He told aceshowbiz.com that Hogan’s, “got an artificial knee, an artificial hip, which don’t bother him at all. But his back is causing everything to hurt.”
He went on to say that he hopes Hogan could return to the ring, if his “health issues get resolved.”
