Ashmore brothers headed to Fox
As Fringe continues to visit the alternate universe, the show’s cast department pulled a brilliant move, casting acting twins Shawn and Aaron Ashmore in a guest stint. The siblings will play alternate universe versions of each other, according to Show Patrol.

The Ashmores aren’t venturing far from home — they were born in Richmond, B.C., a hop, skip and jump from Fringe’s Vancouver set.

There are no details about their stint, but expect a lot of action.

“We’re having fun with it, running around on set and fooling everybody,” says Shawn Ashmore. “It’s been fun. It’s a huge experience and a good show.”

Shawn played Iceman in the X-Men movies and starred in Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures, while Aaron played Jimmy Olsen on Smallville and Scott on In Plain Sight.

Fringe’s third season premieres on Thursday, Sept. 23.

A ‘Bones’/‘SYYTCD’ crossover
Well, sort of.

Bones producers are on a reality high. They just wrapped production on the Jersey Shore-inspired episode, and now they’re looking at So You Think You Can Dance.

According to EW.com, Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will encounter SYTYCD all-star and aspiring actor Stephen (tWitch) Boss.

Boss, who was Season 4’s runner-up and was featured as an all-star in this past summer’s instalment, will play a suspect in the murder of a popular street performer.

The SYTYCD fan favourite’s episode is scheduled to air in November. Boss also appeared in the movie Step Up 3D.

‘LOLA’ gets some Love
Those anxious for Law & Order: Los Angeles’ debut can get a taste of it on SVU first. In the established series’ second episode of the upcoming season, Skeet Ulrich shows up to introduce his character, Det. Rex Winters, and gets some help from Det. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).

Jennifer Love Hewitt also guest-stars in the Sept. 29 episode, as a woman afraid of leaving her house after having been repeatedly raped by the same man.

“[Benson] ends up going to Los Angeles — she goes across the country, to Detroit and Chicago as well — to open rape kits. There’s a backlog of rape kits in this country in many, many cities,” SVU executive producer Neal Baer said on a conference call with reporters. “A lot of perps are going free because the kits haven't been open yet or tested. So she’s on a mission, and that takes her to L.A., which then takes her to meet Skeet Ulrich’s character.”

Lost star Henry Ian Cusick and Joan Cusack, who co-stars in new drama Shameless, also appear in the season premiere, while Maria Bello (ER), David Krumholtz (Numb3rs), James LeGros (Mercy) will appear later in SVU’s season. Also, look for Marcia Gay Harden, Christine Lahti and Gloria Reuben to return to the series.

SVU’s two-hour season premiere airs Sunday, Sept. 19 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV and Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. LOLA debuts Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 10 p.m. on CTV and NBC.
