‘Blue Bloods’ pulls an onion episode
'Blue Bloods' returned Friday night after a two-week hiatus. Patient viewers were rewarded with an exceptional episode that showcased the complex family drama the Tom Selleck-led series does so incredibly well week after week.

Family reunions on ‘Vampire Diaries’
After watching Klaus, Stefan and Damon make deal after deal after no deal on 'The Vampire Diaries,' I was starting to wonder how much more backstabbing and upper hand exchanges I could handle. Enough is enough –figure out what’s in that damn fourth coffin already! Well, we finally got an answer to that question Thursday night.

Kenneth quits page program on ‘30 Rock’
I still can’t believe '30 Rock' has been around for six seasons. And with the sheen somewhat rubbed off the critical darling (Hollywood is all about the new and fresh, after all), it looks like the series is heading into its final stretch.

Zoo’s the ‘Boss’
Perhaps it was the familiarity – I’m a born and raised North Yorker and the premiere featured one of my elementary school mainstays, the Toronto Zoo – but I really enjoyed the first episode of 'Undercover Boss Canada.' Like what I’ve seen of the American version, it was punny, heartfelt and fairly interesting throughout.

‘Secret’ survivors
It was a battle of good vs. evil on Thursday’s 'Secret Circle' as Cassie faced everything from the mystery of dark magic in her father’s bloodline to her choice in men. Dead or alive? Use the medallion or don’t? Jake or Adam? (And you thought YOU had a stressful day.)

‘Bomb’-shells unite
Whether it’s the vivacity of the characters, the sophisticated styling, or just pure escapism into an unknown world that holds your attention, 'Bomb Girls' is simply intoxicating.

‘Glee’ tributes Michael Jackson
As the McKinley High’s gleeks prepared for Regionals Tuesday night, they decided the best way to beat the Warblers was through the music of Michael Jackson. And, I mean, how could they go wrong? They had already wowed us with “Thriller” the football field, and “Man in the Mirror” at Sectionals. I guess you could say they won’t stop ‘til they get enough!

'Ringer' returns with some 'Twin Peaks'
Tuesday night’s midseason premiere of 'Ringer' was bangin’ right from the start. Meaning the episode kicked off with Bridget (as Siobhan) rocking some full-length bangs. Or at least attempting to rock them.

John Cleese stops by ‘Whitney’
Whenever I think I’m done watching 'Whitney,' it always manages to pull me back in with the promise of something funny, even if that promise under-delivers. Tuesday night that hook was John Cleese, otherwise known as Basil Fawlty from my all-time favourite comedy, 'Fawlty Towers.'

More ‘Earl’ alums on ‘Raising Hope’
One of my favourite things about 'Raising Hope' is the fact that creator Greg Garcia stacks the show with guest stars from his previous TV comedy, NBC’s 'My Name is Earl' and Tuesday's episode was no exception.

‘New Girl’ vs. newer girl
Up until Tuesday’s episode of 'New Girl' (“Jess & Julia”), all the characters have simply either ignored Jess’ behavioural tics or fully embraced them. “Isn’t there anyone inthat finds her too over-the-top or just plain annoying?” I always wondered. Enter Nick’s new love interest Julia (Lizzy Caplan).

Filler fun on 'House'
Last week, I wrote with glee about House and Foreman’s jousting match with one another. Foreman, as the new head of Princeton-Plainsboro, became House’s boss and now holds the good doctor’s future in his hands. The result was a hilarious back and forth between the two, each attempting to one-up the other through verbal jabs, malicious notes and overall puerile behaviour.
