We’ve heard it once or twice — “This is going to be the most dramatic rose ceremony ever.” How true is that famous phrase from Bachelor and Bachelorette host Chris Harrison? After 14 seasons, of this reality craze, only a handful of relationships have lasted. Pfft.
One of the most shocking twists of the entire seasons was the finale of Season 12 with Bachelor Jason Mesnick. Not only did the finale show him and cheerleader Melissa Rycroft heading for marital bliss but it was the “After the Rose” show which stunned the nation. Minutes after learning that the two had united, fans learned that Jason had changed his mind after realizing he made the wrong choice.
That week, the single father who once seeked love, dominated the media making headlines on entertainment, talk shows and even the news. The controversy over whether he was a hero or a jerk was the topic of conversations everywhere. Whether or not you watched the show, you were hearing about Melissa/Jason/Molly triangle. In my opinion, that was the most dramatic moment in the show’s history.
