I know many people who shut their TVs off after Grey’s Anatomy. I’m not sure why. Even though Grey’s gets the numbers, I find that Private Practice is the more exciting drama. And last night was no different.

Let’s start with Addison, who was treating a surrogate mom having triplets for a childless couple, and had to make a tough decision. Of course, the patients were unhappy with the decision and looked to Addison’s nemesis (and Sam’s new girlfriend) for a second opinion. A furious Addison warned the group, but unfortunately for those involved, they chose Vanessa’s risky surgery, that resulted in a brain-dead patient.

However, it was Sheldon’s 11 year-old with potential schizophrenia case that stole the show. When Sheldon first came on the show, I found him quite annoying, but he has really developed into a lovable and quirky character that the show needs. I am digging his “relationship” with Charlotte. It was funny to witness a catfight with him and Cooper but it was nice to see they could put their personal differences aside to treat their patient.

Violet was a no show in this episode but with the talent on the screen, I didn’t even notice she was missing until her name was mentioned.

Addison, who had been dealing with her own feelings over the past couple of weeks, realized she had to make up her mind regarding either a relationship with Pete and to be a mom to Luke, or love with her best friend, Sam. She decided to chase down Sheldon and trap him in the elevator for some professional advice and after he told her that she had “mommy issues,” she realized her path was to pursue Pete. After telling Sam that she made her choice that she was going to try and be happy with Pete, Naomi walked in on the two of them in a compromising position. A little too close for comfort? After noticing an intimate moment between Sam and Addison earlier in the episode, Naomi had questioned herself, but her suspicions were validated when she again walked in on them cozying it up on the couch. She stormed off but not before informing Addison that she should be ashamed of herself.

Do you think Naomi has a right to be upset? Should Addison choose Pete or Sam?
